Mediawise Midwives is originaly a project created as a part of the Twinning up North project funded by the Midwives for Mothers fund in the Netherlands.  The project paired two midwives, one from the Netherlands and one from Iceland, both interested in promoting physiological birth through social media.
The pair aimes to promote midwives that already use social media to connect to and educate women about birth, as well as to promote other projects coming from the umbrella of Twinning up North.
